When it comes time to leave Kenston, and you want to take you Google Apps account data with you, there are several options. First, make sure you create your own personal email account, so you can migrate your data to someplace, if you want to keep using it. You can also just download and store the data for later access.
Migrating All Data
If you want to migrate all your data, including email, Google Drive documents, etc, you’ll want to migrate all of your data. Click here to learn more about Google Takeout.
Migrating Only Email
If you only want to migrate your email, you can use Google Takeout (see above) to do so, or alternatively, pull down your mail to a third party email program like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple’s Mail, and many more. Chose the one that’s right for you. Learn more about mail applications here.
Hardcopy of your Email Archive (prior to August 1, 2014)
Lastly, we can provide your with a hardcopy (a file) that contains your email prior to our Google Migration on August 1, 2014. Please email the request directly to the Technology Department. You’ll need to provide the storage media, like a USB stick, for us to export to.
