With so many users accessing the web from a mobile device these days (think phone, tablet, or similar smaller screened device) it’s important to cater to your users by selecting the appropriate theme on your website. Here’s a recommendation.
One of the themes that work really well, and has been designed with the mobile user in mind (and mobile first priority) is the Twenty Fifteen theme from WordPress.org. It’s clean, simple to use, and delivers the same experience to desktop and mobile users alike.
From WordPress.org: Our 2015 default theme is clean, blog-focused, and designed for clarity. Twenty Fifteen’s simple, straightforward typography is readable on a wide variety of screen sizes, and suitable for multiple languages. We designed it using a mobile-first approach, meaning your content takes center-stage, regardless of whether your visitors arrive by smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
To install and activate the theme, simply login to your website, then visit Appearance > Themes, and install like you would any other theme.
One thing to note – the theme makes use of the Custom Menu, so you’ll need to create one, or make sure it’s up to date. Let us know if you need help with the Custom Menu.
